I plucked it before I killed it because the stress hormones keep the flesh sweet and tender while it cooks. She had a lot more fight in her than I expected. The trick is you have to rubber band its beak and break its legs or it'll just scratch the shit out of you. That's just one of the hazards of gutting your own bird (the worst is trying to keep your workspace sterile after they lose bowel control), but I swear when you take the time to do it the traditional way you can really taste the effort. Colour me old fashioned.

Actually its just the way its been prepared. My dad's turkey makes my mouth water, this just looks like grilled ass. LOL

Well it fed 5 people and won accolades, BBQing it is actually a surefire way to make sure it stays juicy so don't judge a bird by its crispy golden cover :3

The shriveled neck remains are a bit off-putting but the legs look nice. Remind me of the turkey legs you can get at like outdoor festivals. Omnomnom
